Pott Glasses: 1 for you, 1 for them

10:54 am

Did you know that Pott Glasses donates 1 pair of glasses to the underprivileged for every 1 pair sold?
That's why I love them and what they stand for.

I wear contact lenses on a daily basis and recently i've started noticing that my vision isn't as clear as it used to be. I dread to say that my eyes' power (or degree) is -9.00 and -8.50 respectively which means 900/850. The negative (-) means that i'm short sighted and need correction for long sightedness.
I also have astigmatism. It's that star/burst/flare you see on artificial lights and if you naturally don't have it, try looking at a light and squinting a little, you'll get what I mean. Anyway, it has definitely gotten worse and my contact lenses don't have astig correction because getting toric contact lenses are super expensive. My vision when i'm driving at night is terrible because of all the headlights, street lamps, billboards, you name it.
LIGHT. FLARES. Light flares everywhere.
And that is a really big obstruction for me as I can barely see the road.

Thankfully, Pott Glasses dropped me a message the other day and I was ecstatic.
Finally, a pair of astig glasses for driving.

I headed to their flagship store in SS15, Subang Jaya as that was the closest one to me. They have a newer one in SS2 with more choices and a much cooler concept store!

The place was pretty small but very well organized and decorated. I tried on a few glasses and took really derpy photos to compare how I would look. I eventually settled on one and it has to be my most favourite pair of glasses I ever owned.

It is made of dark brown wood and bronze metal giving it that rustic vintage look and the style of these are really flattering on most face shapes. I also like the fact that because it is brown and not black, it doesn't divert all attention to your glasses. It's definitely more subtle.

I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking into getting yourself a pair whether or not it's needed for eyesight correction. The quality of their glasses are really good and the lenses of all glasses can always be popped out for a new one for when you do actually need correction.
